Joy
M. Feinberg |
Joy M. Feinberg graduated from De Paul University
College of Law in 1977 and was licensed to practice law in Illinois and the Federal
District Court in the same year. Since 1980 when Ms. Feinberg started her own law firm,
she has concentrated on divorce cases, after having completed over a dozen commercial and
personal injury jury and bench trials. Ms Feinberg has experienced success as a litigator,
negotiator and mediator. She represents business owners, entrepreneurs and highly
compensated executives as well as professionals and individuals from all walks of life.
She is known for her creativity, intelligence and thoroughness. Ms. Feinberg has served
as President of the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and,
nationally, she is one of the lawyers who helped the AAML draft and update its' national
written examination. She has been twice honored by the AAML with its "Fellow of the
Year" award. Ms. Feinberg has been a lecturer for the Illinois Institute for
Continuing Legal Education since 1985. She has contributed to the IICLE's Annual Survey of
Illinois Law for its Family Law Section. She has also written chapters on Custody and, for
their specialty book on custody, she wrote the chapter on Psychological Testing, the
Mental Health Code and Handling the Expert Witness in Custody cases. For the Illinois
State Bar Family Law Handbook, Ms. Feinberg wrote on Divorce Taxation. She is a frequent
lecturer nationally for the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association. Her
published articles and speeches cover topics including business valuation issues, updates
on new case law, child custody, divorce taxation, retirement and pension benefits and the
mental health act. Ms. Feinberg has been a frequent lecturer for various Phoenix Groups,
an organization for divorced and separated Catholics. In 1982, Ms. Feinberg was President
of the Mediation Council of Illinois. She has appeared on numerous radio and television
programs discussing many family law subjects. Ms Feinberg is often quoted in newspapers at
both the local and national level.
In 1997, Ms. Feinberg was named as one of Top 20 Chicago Divorce Lawyers by North Shore
Magazine, having been selected for this honor by her peers. She has been consistently
named one of Illinois' "Leading Lawyers" in Family Law, another selection made
by her peers. She has been a member of the Divorce Magazine
Advisory Board since 1999.

Carroll
A. Barry |
Carroll A. Barry graduated with her J.D. from Northern
Illinois University in 1980 and was licensed to practice law in Illinois and in the
Federal District Court in the same year. She has concentrated her practice in Domestic
Relations matters since then. In 1991, Ms. Barry completed the Cook County Mediation
Certification. Ms. Barry has been on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Chapter of the
American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers for several years. Ms. Barry was a lecturer for Day of the Phoenix Group, an organization for
divorced and separated Catholics between 1980 and 1992. She was a moderator and a guest
lecturer for Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education between 1986 and 1988.
Ms. Barry contributed to the Illinois Institute of
Continuing Legal Education Survey of Illinois Law by helping Ms. Feinberg write the
chapter on Family Law between 1989 and 1992. Ms. Barry made numerous Cable TV appearances
discussing Family Law issues.

David
M. Goldman |
David M. Goldman graduated from DePaul University Law
School in 1981 and was admitted to practice in Illinois State and Federal District Court
in the same year. Prior to entering the practice of law, David spent 10 years as an
executive with a family printing business, where his duties included sales, production
control and various other management functions. He brings this extensive corporate
knowledge and experience to our practice, along with his years of legal experience in
general litigation and 20 years of intensive family law negotiated settlements, trials and
appellate expertise. Mr. Goldman is respected both by his clients and peers, and
recognized as an effective and tenacious advocate. He is a member of the American Academy
of Matrimonial Lawyers and has been selected by his peers as one of Illinois
outstanding and leading divorce lawyers. David is
an avid athlete and hockey player. He serves on the boards of several charitable
organizations, including the Legal Aid Society and Vital Bridges. He and his wife, Katie,
